Open Bionics is looking for a skilled project manager. You will be driven, ambitious, and experienced. Your role will be to coordinate projects from design to manufacture. You will lead a UK and potentially US team to complete tasks. You will coordinate projects across software, electronics, and hardware development teams. You will liaise closely with partners and collaborators across multiple countries and institutions within different time zones. You will have excellent communication, listening, and leadership skills. You’ll be an enthusiastic motivator who is able to recognise and support the skills of your team. You will be a great problem solver with the ability to hit deadlines on time and within budget to a high standard. 


  • Engineering Degree – Mechanical, Electronics, Robotics or Mechatronics degree

  • Experience of managing complex products with both hardware and software elements, ideally within the robotics or medical industry

  • Experience of product development

  • Experience of hardware manufacturing

  • Experience of certification of electronic products

  • Experience developing and managing multiple projects that run across software, hardware, and electronics

  • Experience developing schedules and time frames for projects


  • Experience developing medical devices from design to manufacture

  • Experience of certifying medical products

  • Experience with 3D printing
